Prohibited articles are defined as dangerous or illegal items

Controlled articles are defined as items with potential to record, network, transmit and/or store data.

  • Alcohol (except in housing & approved recreational facilities; quantities may be limited)
  • Controlled substances, illegal drugs, and associated paraphernalia
  • Firearms & Ammunition
  • Explosives & Incendiaries
  • Weapons, instruments and/or materials likely to produce substantial injury to persons or damage property
  • Electronic equipment, devices and associated media capable of recording, storing, networking and/or transmitting information without authorization
    • Includes USB, wireless capabilities, and tablet technology
    • Computers and/or laptops
    • Cellular and/or smart telephones
    • Two-way radio systems and/or pagers
    • Video game consoles
    • Personally-owned items
    • Company/government-owned exceptions granted on a case-by-case basis for official use
  • Cameras
    • Company/government-owned exceptions granted on a case-by-case basis for official use
    • Requires sensitive equipment/property authorization approval
  • Binoculars and Range Finders
    • Company/government-owned exceptions granted on a case-by-case basis for official use
    • Requires sensitive equipment/property authorization approval
  • Pets (wild or domestic)
  • Children (persons under 18 years of age)
